Netflix upcoming releases from December 25 to 31, 2025: Full list of shows and specials

Streaming platform Netflix has lined up a mix of live sports, documentaries, reality series, comedy specials, and films for the final week of December 2025. Here is a date-wise look at what subscribers can expect between December 25 and December 31.

The holiday slate begins on December 25 with Christmas Gameday: Cowboys vs. Commanders. The Christmas Gameday event returns with high-profile divisional clashes, headlined by the Dallas Cowboys taking on the Washington Commanders. The festive sports offering continues with another major NFL game featuring the Detroit Lions and the Minnesota Vikings.

On December 26, Netflix releases Christmas Gameday: Lions vs. Vikings, completing its Christmas football double-header. The same day also sees the premiere of Cover-Up, which traces the career of renowned investigative journalist Seymour Hersh, focusing on his reporting that exposed major cover-ups from My Lai to Abu Ghraib.

Also arriving on December 26 is Cashero, a fictional series centred on an ordinary man who inherits superhuman strength. The twist: every use of his power drains money from his wallet, forcing him to balance heroism against personal cost.

Reality television takes the spotlight on December 29 with Members Only: Palm Beach. The series follows a group of wealthy socialites navigating glamour, rivalry, and scandal in Palm Beach, Florida, against a backdrop of lavish parties and high-society drama.

On December 30, Netflix drops Evil Influencer: The Jodi Hildebrandt Story, a true-crime documentary examining the case of Utah therapist Jodi Hildebrandt. The film explores her arrest alongside parenting YouTuber Ruby Franke and the disturbing allegations of manipulation and child abuse that followed.

The same day features a comedy special, Ricky Gervais: Mortality, in which Ricky Gervais delivers a darkly comic and introspective set focused on life, death, and the state of the world, continuing his long-standing style of provocative humour.

The year concludes on December 31 with the romantic comedy Sleeping with Other People. The film follows two former college friends who reconnect after finding themselves newly single due to infidelity, as they attempt to change their patterns without falling for each other.

With a diverse mix of genres and formats, Netflix’s final-week lineup caters to holiday sports fans, documentary viewers, comedy audiences, and movie lovers as 2025 draws to a close.
