The long-running sci-fi drama Stranger Things is poised to conclude its fifth and final season with the release of Volume 3 on Netflix, marking the end of one of the streaming service’s most successful franchises.
According to release details, Volume 3 of Stranger Things 5 will premiere on Wednesday, 31 December 2025 as part of the staggered rollout for the final season. The finale is scheduled to drop at 8 p.m. Eastern Time / 5 p.m. Pacific Time in North America, with global release times adjusted to local zones. For viewers in India, the episode is expected to be available on 31 December 2025 from approximately 6:30 a.m. IST on Netflix.
The concluding chapter, titled “Chapter 8: The Rightside Up”, will serve as the series finale, wrapping up the narrative that began with the first four episodes in Volume 1 and continued through Volumes 2 and 3. Co-creators Matt and Ross Duffer have confirmed that the final episode will be feature-length, running over two hours, making it the longest in the season.
Stranger Things Season 5 was released in a three-part format rather than all at once. Volume 1 (Episodes 1–4) debuted on 26 November 2025, followed by Volume 2 (Episodes 5–7) on 25 December 2025 in the United States and 26 December 2025 in India. The finale promises to deliver the culmination of the characters’ long struggle against the supernatural forces of the Upside Down.
The series’ eighth and final episode is expected to attract significant viewership as fans worldwide tune in for the last chapter of a story that has been a cultural phenomenon since its 2016 debut.
Stranger Things continues to stream exclusively on Netflix across all supported devices for subscribers.
