In a significant development in the ongoing dispute between K-pop group NewJeans and their management label, Danielle Marsh has been formally removed from the group after her exclusive contract with South Korean music label ADOR was terminated, sources confirmed on 29 December 2025.
ADOR, the label behind NewJeans, announced that it had decided to end Marsh’s contract, stating that it would be difficult for her to continue as a member of the group or as an artist under the company. The decision comes amid a prolonged legal conflict between the group and the agency that has drawn intense industry and fan attention throughout 2025.
The dispute dates back to late 2024, when NewJeans members sought to terminate their contracts and pursue independent activities, sparking legal action from ADOR. A Seoul court later upheld the validity of the exclusive contracts, prompting negotiations between the label and the artists. In its latest statement, ADOR said that discussions with several members and their families had taken place, with some agreeing to continue working with the company.
However, in Marsh’s case, the label concluded that she could not remain with NewJeans. ADOR also indicated plans to pursue legal action against one of Marsh’s family members and a former executive, whom it holds partly responsible for contributing to the dispute and delays in the group’s scheduled return.
The termination marks the end of Marsh’s official tenure with NewJeans, a group that debuted in 2022 to widespread global success. The remaining members’ contracts with ADOR, including those of Hanni and Minji, are reportedly still being discussed, with some members indicating a willingness to resume activities under the label.
The news has sent ripples through the K-pop community, with fans and industry watchers closely following the evolving situation. As NewJeans navigates this challenging period, the group’s future configuration and activities remain subject to further announcements from ADOR and the artists involved.
