Avatar: Fire and Ash sees massive advance bookings, over 6.5 lakh tickets sold ahead of release

Avatar: Fire and Ash has opened to phenomenal advance sales, emerging as one of the biggest pre-release draws of the year even before its first show hits theatres.

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh said the film registered one of the highest advance booking figures ever, with over 3 lakh tickets sold during the initial phase. Momentum has remained strong across major cinema chains, underlining the scale of audience anticipation for the latest instalment in the Avatar franchise.

In a further boost, more than 1.85 lakh tickets were sold on BookMyShow within the first 24 hours, while nearly 6.5 lakh tickets have already been snapped up for the opening weekend. The numbers place Avatar: Fire and Ash among the top advance openers of 2025.

The film released in cinemas on 19 December 2025, opening simultaneously in English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada, ensuring wide national reach. With such strong pre-release traction, trade watchers expect a robust opening weekend, positioning Avatar: Fire and Ash as one of the year’s biggest event films at the box office.
